1.0 HLE (46 bhp, economy gearing);
1.3 S/HLS (62 bhp). 4-speed gearbox, Hydragas independent suspension,
disc front brakes (servo on 1.3).
1.0 low-compression engine to special order.

JULY 1981
1.3 Auto (60 bhp) launched; equipment as 1.3 HLS.

APRIL 1982
1.3 Vanden Plas (62 bhp) launched with sunroof, tinted glass, velour upholstery and optional 4-speed Auto.

MAY 1982
MG 1.3 (72 bhp) with alloy wheels, rear spoiler, special trim, sports seats, leather-trimmed steering wheel,rev counter.

OCTOBER 1982
MG Turbo 1.3 (93 bhp) launched; uprated suspension; ventilated front disc brakes, alloy wheels, wheel-arch extensions.

JANUARY 1983
1.3 HLE launched with economy engine and gearbox. 1.0 and 1.0 L now have HLE-type (46 bhp) economy engine.
